Getting to MPEI

Road from the airport costs approximate 500 rub.

MPEI is situated on the Aviamotornaya station on the yellow Kalininskaya line.

It will take average 40 minutes to get the underground by using Aeroexpress train. Aeroexpress provides rail services between the capital and all the airports of the Moscow Air Cluster, including Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo.

From the Belorussky Railway station, you should get onto the circle line at Belorusskaya metro station and get off at Taganskaya station. You then need a change over to the Kalininskaya line (yellow) and ride down to the Aviamotornaya station.

If you arrive at the Kievskaya Railway station, you should get onto the circle line at the station Kievskaya and get off at the Taganskaya. Then make your way to the Kalininskaya line and ride down to the Aviamotornaya station.

Upom arrival at the Paveletskaya Railway Station, walk to the Paveletskaya station on the circle line and ride to the Taganskaya station. Then you need a change over to Kalininskaya line and ride down to the Aviamotornaya station.

Please, note that all station on the circle line carry the same names as their corresponding stations on the radial lines. Stations on other lines have different names even if they are close by. Also, there is a free WI-FI in every metro train.

Finding a way from the metro station to MPEI

A trip from the metro to the MPEI will take 7-10 minutes on foot. When you arrive at Aviamotornaya station, walk down the platform towards the last carriage of the train you have got off. Then go up the stairs and walk through the glass doors, turn right and go upstairs. Go forward till the first traffic lights. Cross the road on a zebra crossing and go forward passing by the “VTB 24” office, in will be on the right. Keep on going till you see the main building of the MPEI, it will be on the right.
